Thandie Mwape Villadsen is the Humanitarian Diplomacy Coordinator at the Netherlands Red Cross working as Policy Adviser on the Netherlands’ Ministry of Foreign Affairs funded initiative: Partners for Resilience.

Thandie has an in-depth knowledge of the UN System work on humanitarian affairs. In 2015, she became Program Officer at the Geneva Office of the United Nations Office for the Humanitarian Affairs, after more than a decade of collaboration within the international organization. Thandie has Master Degree in International Affairs (Global Diplomacy) at SOAS; a Master Degree Innovation and Change (York St John University) and certificate study in International Humanitarian Law at Harvad Law School and twelve years of experience in political, humanitarian and development affairs in East Timor, Kosovo, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Zimbabwe, New York and Geneva.
