Professor Bettina Ng’weno is an associate professor at the University of California, Davis.
She is writing a book on Nairobi City called “Growing Old in a New City.” It has a chapter which
focuses on the pressures of urbanization and climate change on Nairobi river and how these have
added new fault lines to the city landscape and exacerbated existing inequalities
